National Donor Day encourages organ and tissue donation, along with blood, marrow and blood stem cell donation, across the nation.

In 2003 Donate Life America and its members declared the first annual Donate Life Month. The entire month features local, regional and national events to encourage Americans to sign up to become registered donors.
